Laughing and breathing are gentle exercises that can be done by everyone.
Laughter is the best medicine.
Laughter Yoga has changed my life is the comment I hear most frequently.
Research shows that Laughter is the best medicine: reported to reduce stress, sick leave, pain, and blood pressure whilst increasing energy, voice power, and productivity.
Gelotology is the study of laughter and its affects and many have declared it to have reduced pain and cure illnesses. The movie about Patch Adams and the fantastic job he does to get sick people to laugh is the public face to laughing for wellness.
Laughter is called internal jogging as it works on the diaphragm which acts like a bellows pushing down on the intestinal area and pushing up into the chest cavity pushing out the stale air. More oxygen in the body.
I like being a Laughter Leader because
-Downs Syndrome man said "I really enjoyed that session"
-Middle aged man said "You will never know how much coming has helped me. Thank you"
-Older man said "I do not have a good week if I miss a session. My depression comes back"
-Lady says "I can now laugh outload when I am on my own, it feels good"
Improve your life energy, physically and emotionally to intergrate the whole person. See Activities page for class information or contacts to make an appointment.
I would love to come and laugh with you and your staff.
